Joe Tedesco has generously agreed to contribute a monthly commentary dedicated solely to helping electrical contractors in our newly featured Electrician's Hall of Shame.
Joe has been involved in the training of electricians, inspectors, and other persons in the electrical industry since 1969. He has also authored and edited training materials that are used to help in the use and understanding of the National Electrical Code.
His library includes detailed and specific information that may not be publicly available anymore, and includes the early reports by the NEC Committee who used to "burn the midnight oil" writing the rules in the NEC. Joe has also had the pleasure, and honor of working directly with many of the Code Panel Chairmen and members who were responsible for reviewing the proposals for revisions of the 1981 NEC through the present.
His on-site training is available covering the National Electrical Code, Grounding and Bonding of Building Electrical Systems, Electrical Inspections, License Preparation for Journeyman, Masters, and Electrical Inspectors.
Joe is flat out considered one of the nation's foremost Electrical Code experts.
He is a certified electrical code instructor, and license law instructor for Massachusetts.
He has been an electrical inspector in California, Massachusetts and Connecticut, and he is a licensed journeyman and master electrician in Massachusetts and a certified electrical inspector and electrical-plans examiner for the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), Richardson, Texas.
Along with being an NEC consultant, he is also program manager, National Technology Transfer Inc., Englewood, Colo., and develops and presents seminars on the NEC, grounding, and electrical inspection nationwide.
He has authored or co-authored books for the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), the NFPA, and other publishers. Joe has also written dozens of articles on the NEC and NEC violations for EC&M magazine, CEE News magazine and the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI).
Joe's passion for helping electrical workers and contractors is evident by his vast body of work.
