    ContractorSelling.Com New Content - Dec. 22, 2006
    By Julie Crisara

Each Friday we will announce new items that we have added to the website throughout the week so you are aware of the new tools available for you to use and implement on your road to personal, professional and financial growth.

If you have a question about the sales process or how to generate more revenue for your company please post it on the Contractor Selling Forum.

    Temperature Rise Testing

High temperature rise is usually an indication of low air flow or high input into the furnace. Air flow can be increased by adjusting the furnace fan to a higher RPM if possible. High temp. rise could also be caused by excessive input. This can be corrected by adjusting the gas manifold pressure to manufacturer's specs. and/or changing the main burner orifice's if they are over or under-sized to the correct ones specified. . .

    Marketing Budget Calendar

This time of year is a great time to start planning your marketing budget for next year in case you already haven't done so. This excel spreadsheet can serve as a budget builder and also a reminder of what things you are supposed to be doing during different parts of the year. Also this can help keep you on track in terms of cost for you marketing. . . .

    Networking Productively at Events

This piece is like a book report on what to do at networking events such as chamber of commerce meetings and meetings with other business that you may run into who would be suitable to help you cross promote each other. Mainly this document gives you a game plan to make your next networking event a productive one. If you prepare for such opportunities then you will succeed. Remember if you fail to plan then plan to fail. . . .

    Happy Holidays We're Not Buying

Around the holidays the amount of calls I get from sales people and techs that need help with price complaints really picks up. I wonder if it is really that the customer are objecting more around the holidays, or if the sales people are projecting this issue and the customer is responding to their subconscious suggestion. Here are a few suggestions to use on the "Price is too high" objection should you get it. . . .
